Good Will Hunting 2002-06-24 - 2:30 a.m. A janitor at MIT, Will Hunting (Matt Damon) has a gift for maths that can take him light-years beyond his blue-collar roots, but to achieve his dream he must turn his back on the neighborhood and his best friend (Ben Affleck). To complicate matters, two strangers enter the equation: a washed-up shrink (Robin Williams) who starts to coach Will through his transformation, and a med student (Minnie Driver) who shows him that there can be a pretty face along with his life of the mind.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, I look at this movie and suddenly there is hope for my future. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote this brilliant piece at the ages of like 22/23. The movies moves you, and you can really see the characters grow and change, though its does it tastefully and subtly. The scene where Will (Matt Damon) decides to push Sean (Robin Williams) to him limits is just amazing. Will gets this look on his face, and you just know that he knows what buttons to push, and then you see that he's really going to push them. Sean explodes and its just done so well. Good job. Well, if I didn't rant enough in the first section, I suppose I can here. The movie made me cry. The movie had me cracking up. The movie had me routing for Sean and Will, and I think any movie that makes you really care about the characters has done its job. Even the music is amazing. Elliot Smith does quite a bit of it, and the timing for his music is great. I also happen to love Minnie Driver as an actress, so that helped too. ![]() ![]() ![]() 1/2Well, you have the obvious choices: Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Hot hot hot. As for girls you have Minnie Driver, who I think is really cute! And the best part about her is that she's not *conventionally* cute. She's actually unique. HOWEVER, I think that the part that puts it up as high as it is (and it is high) would be Casey Affleck. (Didn't see that one coming did ya?). Yup, take another look at young Affleck, he's a cutie. (My new obsession, can you tell?). Anyway, if you don't believe me, go see Soul Surviviors. Crappy movie, cut boy. Happy screening!
